The 28th Irish Concrete Society Awards took place on March 27th, where the winners where announced in 3 main catagories, along with the Sean de Courcy Student Prize and the Sculpture Award.

Concrete - Essential Update - April 29 to May 13

The Irish Concrete Society in conjunction with Engineers Ireland are repeating Module 1 of Concrete - An Essential Update in Rochestown Park Hotel, Cork. This is intended to bridge the gap between a basic and advanced knowledge of concrete technology for those in the industry. More details are available on the brochure attached.

For this year’s awards evening the setting was the Dining Hall at Trinity College Dublin and above 250 of the construction industry’s finest representing the Architectural, Engineering, Contracting and Concrete Manufacturing sectors arrived to hear the Jury’s verdict and receive their awards.

Irish Concrete Society Travel Bursary

The Irish Concrete Society invites applications from postgraduate students for awards from the Irish Concrete Society Travel Bursary. These awards are to be used in support of travel expenses incurred in furtherance of research on concrete. Preference will be given to applications for attendance at international conferences at which the student is presenting a paper on their research.
