Advice & Information
|
Our technical staff operate the Concrete Advisory Service. They carry out desk studies and site visits to assist with problems in the field, producing independent reports of the findings. A helpline provides prompt impartial technical advice. The technical staff are experienced chartered engineers with a depth of knowledge gained from working in the concrete industry for many years. Concrete Advice sheets on common problems are produced and published. In-house presentations on many aspects of concrete can be arranged.
As a Society, a Standing Committee and Working Group structure exists that is associated with the development of Technical Reports and other publications, along with Fingertips, an on-line information tool. Projects are undertaken for which the technical staff act as a secretariat and undertake much of the technical input to new documentation. In this respect the technical staff have a close working relationship with The Society’s membership.
